My dog just jumped off the boat! I know he likes to try and catch fish, but come on, we were moving! Is he alright? Yup, just looks a bit dumber and real confused. I guess I’ll go pick him up. He better not ruin my favorite fishing hole later.
Beautiful dog! I was able to visualize your story without using the picture, but it's a nice touch. If a picture is worth a thousand words, did this mini-saga exceed 50? ;)
Haha, you know what, your right- I may have accidently cheated by posting the picture. I’m going to leave it up and see what others think… Oh and thank you, that is my dog Ziggy. True story by the way, he loves to fish.
Who doesn't love a story about a dog? It's almost like America and Apple pie. Good choice for a lot of audiences. Simple, visual and concrete. PS Great Dog!
Great topic. Writing about dogs is always a good way to grab people's attention. I like how your ending can lead the reader's imagination to what may happen next.
Tom, By providing a picture of your dog allowed me to make a more realistic picture in my mind. Much like others have noted, what is not to love about a dog story. I also found your story humorous because, while I own a Yorkie named Guinness he thinks he is the size of a lab and loves to do adventurous things like this.

lol, I agree with Ryan. A story came to my head from the picture before I even started reading. Well written, Tom!

ReplyDeleteGreat looking dog! I like how you provided a pic. Made the story much more interesting.
ReplyDeleteI like the pic. My vote is to keep it. My dog loves the water. I can picture her unruliness ruining my fishing hole.
ReplyDeleteI agree - nice use of a picture to supplement a strong story. Remember the power of this device.

Keep the picture, it immediately drew in my interest! Your story is real and definitely would touch anyone who has a frisky dog or likes to fish.
